Product Description
This remote has lock, unlock, panic, remote start, and rear hatch buttons and will work with the factory remote keyless entry system on the vehicles listed in the description. Customers are responsible to purchase the correct remote for their vehicle. This is a new remote with all electronics and battery included.
PROGRAMMING: Your vehicle must be programmed to recognize the remote. You can do this yourself UP TO and including model year 2010. Those instructions are included. Starting in 2011 GM removed the on-board programming and you will have to take your vehicle to a dealer or locksmith to have it programed with diagnostic equipment.

Only need plastic cases not the internals
The design is different then my old key fob.. I only needed the plastic casing but on the plastic casing their was no battery holder on the back side of the new plastic case. I taped the battery in place so the connections are touching !! And it works but a pain in the bottom too keep it in place while closing it back up !! Now if my internal fib didn’t work I am sure this would be great .. I didn’t want too pay a dealer to reprogram the new fob when the old inner working’s worked.. But if not the new design looks as though it would work great !! I am happy too have non broken casing on my remote and the cases work fine with a little tape to hold the battery in place !!

2012 Chevy Tahoe LT. Received 2 remotes quickly. I had to spend $100 at my local dealer to program but I was aware model year 2012 and newer requires dealer to program - this is disclosed by keyless-remotes and nothing they can do about it. Chevrolet removed the self program feature on 2012 and newer for some reason. Remotes work perfectly and look just like the OEM. Very happy with purchase.
