If your car has a Toyota keyless entry system, the only option available was the dealer or port-installed system. This system is known as the Toyota VIP, RS3000, or RS3200 (newer years) system. If you have this system, there should be a rectangular Toyota Security plate on the dash or console of your vehicle. It will say "Toyota Security" on it.

Some early systems were known as TVSS or TDSE and the RS3000 remote will replace it.

Remote keyless entry was an option, not standard equipment. It is the customer's responsibility to determine if they have this system or not.
